Sustainable Quality: SQNPI
Our main collaboration is with Voltarel Family who run the winery since 1970 with less than 10 people. With just 15 hectares they obtained in 2018 the SQNPI award of sustainability.
The harvest is still manual.
The National Integrated Production Quality System (Sistema Qualità Nazionale Produzione Integrata, or SQNPI) refers to vineyards and provides certifications for both grapes and bottled wine.
The certificate is issued based on controls of the farmer’s records and chemical analyses of the soil, leaves, and final products. The goal is to preserve biodiversity in the environment, minimize the use of pesticides, and ensure proper management of wineries. The use of synthetic chemicals must be minimized while optimizing fertilization. Each bottle of wine marketed has complete traceability, ensuring that the product comes solely from vineyards controlled by the SQNPI.
